“In A Mood” illustrates the moment in your mind when you reminisce about a soured relationship with a loved one, a business venture, or friendship. I had recently gone through a romantic breakup with someone I cared about deeply and also a friendship turned sour because of business fallouts . The first 2 verses discuss my grievances with those relationships as well as what I tried to do to cope with them. As the production changes, my perspective on the subject changes. The writing goes from disappointed to disbelief to acceptance. As the song ends, I express my desire for wishing things worked out between. It’s another expression of shapeshifting in the album.
